I could have never imagined saying I was attacking you by asking where your teenage boy pictures came from would be "mending fences."  And thanks for arguing with the women who find me repulsive, right after telling everyone they should leave this board because I harass women.

Boy as I look back on those words 

I’d been away from the boards for weeks, no real reason, it’s just I can do that without my life collapasing, so…

Upon my return all was well, I thought. I put up a post of me and my kids on a picture thread, chatted up a few folks, and went on with my day. I returned that night to see the thread vanished, as the entire sandbox was slowly being removed one thread at a time, really kinda pissed me off. I should not have taken it so personally, but I hate that sh*t anyway, never mind throwing in the deletion of my kids! So I go to the Smile Shop and start a thread to see what they knew. I was referred to the “Media Section” where hell’s fires raged and crucifixes burned! Well, sorta. I read of the new “harassment”, Ian told me it was awful, I asked Laurie about it, terrible. Jon was claiming the things in the PM were incredibly offensive. I assumed with so many testimonies that such was such. I was aghast, this crap ...again??!!, and write the above.

Then I saw the PM’s, as all did. I saw a guy defending himself about being harassing, not a guy harassing. I saw “you’re no Snow White”. I kept reading the PM’s to see what I was missing. I sent a PM to Laurie about it, she said it also had to do with a hot tub photo where she was naked. AH! I said, ok, THAT’S it. Well, turns out that happened… a year ago, and seemingly in posting since then everyone had gotten over it. No reason for a mutiny, no harassment, just some personal sh*t between Ian, Laurie, Charles, Jon, and who ever else ya want to throw into the equation. Laurie is a nice girl, I like her, always did, not sure if she really felt this, maybe just had a bad day, or was used as a pawn. Tough call.

So, my last post on Smile that night was a pretty clear sign that my support of the crusade was waning fast. When I returned to SS the next morning to jump back into it, the thread was gone, and I was not going to start a new one. I still had my beef with Charles, and I am not a fan of PM’s being read, as it was now the newly scampered to focal point of the mutiny, once others said "Hey all he said was 'you're not Snow White'". So, I left it alone. I've posted there a couple times, but the animosity in the air is palpable, so my lack of support in the end was obvoiusly noted, lol.

But, now that everyone is trying to pretend there was no mutiny, I wanted to mend my fences too. I apologize to Charles for the above spew. Laurie, here's to ya baby, still love ya!  Ian, you’re a case, but I think you know that, as your returning now clearly displays.

There, all mended.

In closing, I think we have to remember that what we do and say on these boards does mean something. Our words that can damage, hurt, and slander. Perhaps we all need to be a little less cavalier in our actions.

Yes- I should have been clearer that I read PMs when I felt it necessary, when I received a complaint about someone, for instance.  I was surprised at the outrage over me reading them, though, because it was known by at least one person that I was able to read them, and that I was reading them. 

The matter has resolved itself, however, because 1) other people are running this board now, and 2) the behind the scenes squabbles that led to the complaints that led me to monitor PMs to make certain we didn't have another Professor incident occur stopped being an issue around Feb. 28.
