From the Rolling Stone article, we know that an unnamed tour manager left the tour within the first few dates, we also know that auto-tune went away within the first few dates and that Joe Thomas left the tour within the first few dates.

Are all three of these facts linked? Was Thomas the tour manager? Brian has fired Thomas before, is it possible that he didn't like the auto-tune latched onto the record at the last minute/also didn't like the auto-tune being used live? Brian solo, Mike's band and Al's band have been going out for years and years without the auto-tune, maybe they all didn't like it?

Was the tour manager one of Joe Thomas' guys and when he left, Joe also left?

Anyone know off hand who the original tour manager was?

I asked that before. To no reply.
Wish you luck.

Doubt this is the case. If Joe had been fired, it's unlikely he would have been doing promo for the record.

Because he has money to gain from the record doing well?

Also, when was Joe Thomas' last interview done?

I doubt this is true too, it seemed apparent that Joe was there for the first few to get footage probably for a PBS/TV special.  Since that has been his job for the past 10 years, also he probably has to get back to his own career.

Joe Thomas was not tour manager. He was around for the TV filming, I think.

I'm still a tad bummed that the only time I got to see the Boys happened to be in the second week of the tour, auto-tune still fully in play. If Joe Thomas was responsible for that, I'd like to piss in his morning Cheerios. Oh well, ol' Bri basically sounded like he does on a few TWGMTR tracks, though a bit sloppier.

Here's the question.  In the current C50 program there's two tour managers listed. I can't imagine they re-printed thousands of new programs after the original manager quit, and just trashed the rest.  Are there two managers currently?

Tour Managers: Michael 'Swifty' Swift and Tim Bonhomme

Mike Swift has been audio tech/tour manager for the Beach Boys for quite a while it appears. From his twitter feed (@swiftyontour), he's been on the tour from the start and is still on it.

Tim Bonhomme is the keyboard player for the Mike and Bruce show. Is it possible that he's the missing tour manager? Like he started the tour but has since quit/been fired?

Tim Bonhomme is still with the C50 tour. I spotted him in a backstage photo of the band and crew from a recent show. (Don't remember where I saw the photo, sorry.)

Neither Swift nor Bonhamme was the Tour Manager at th start of the tour.  Swift was the audio tech, Bonhamme the Road Manager. The earlier Tour Program listed a different Tour Manager, don't recall the name

Promotion could be in his contract.

My book from Chicago has John Callahan listed as tour manager, Bonhomme as road manager, Tim Foster as production manager, Micheal Peters as guitar tech and Mike "Swifty" Swift as drum tech.

Tim was definitely there in Toronto last week.

It would appear as if "John Callahan" was the first tour manager:

From http://www.plsn.com/current-issue/95-designer-watch/8844-an-ld-with-heart-beach-boys-crew-reunion-not-his-first-rodeo-quick-cues-and-more.html

The Beach Boys reunite for a 50th anniversary tour — a 50-date world trek with Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine joining longtime members Bruce Johnston and David Marks. The band invited “Honorary Beach Boy” actor John Stamos to play as well. John Callahan is tour manager. LD, crew and vendors are being sorted out now. (Update: LD Robert Peterson and Touring Lighting Director Chris Stuba have now been confirmed as the design team.)
