I don't think I've seen mention of this, but "Dream Angel" from Imagination is a Wilson/Thomas/Peterik composition.

The TWGMTR refrain makes me think of the title song of a James Bond movie, I just can't think of which one.

I'm not paying money for an MP3. I don't have or want an MP3 player. I'll happily buy the single in physical form, or lossless though.

I just can't bring myself to pay for an MP3 knowing I'm going to buy the physical album later on. I am an economical man and I have gigantic hands and I can buy many guitar and I know what boys like.

For Gods sake is 99p for the new Beach Boys single. Loosen the purse strings and show you favourite band some support

Indeed. Come on you old skinflints...

Indeed.

Get yourself, instanter and post haste, to ITunes, Amazon or whatever and spend 99 cents, for cryin' out loud.......

I don't have 99 cents to piss away on something I'm going to get in better quality and "show my support" in a couple months. I don't even especially enjoy the idea of supporting paying a dollar for something that's lossy. Sorryz Cry

No need to judge ^_^ If I were on here begging like a bitch for it, then you might have a case.

I hate buying music, but it's a fucking dollar. You probably carelessly discard at least that much in pocket change on a weekly basis.

We're all team players here, right? I thought the general effect of the Beach Boys music was to make one feel more relaxed and at one with the world.

It is, as long as the world doesn't involve other people.

Yes, that's it! For some reason I thought You Only Live Twice was a 70s movie, but I was sure it was a 60s song. So I'm not hallucinating, it is similar.

Now this is weird - I think it must be an auto-generated email, but here goes...

I ordered TWGMTR - not the album, the German-only SINGLE CD, way back at the end of April. At the time, it was showing on Amazon Germany, amazon.de, as a single ready for pre-ordering. At that point, I thought the single might be out before the album, and that it would be a good way of getting a loss-less version of the track prior to the album's release. I also figured I might get an interesting B-side or backing track of some kind out of it as well as the title track. But the status never changed from pre-order to real order, and I forgot all about it. Of course, I now have the track (in a slightly different mix, I think) through buying the album.

Today, I got an email from Amazon Germany saying the CD single will be released on December 31st 2012, and that I should receive the CD between January 6th and 7th, 2013. Way to go, guys! Only nine months after the album came out! That's a great way of contributing to the chart position!

I reckon this is a mistake, and that somebody at Amazon has said 'uh... when's that CD coming out again?' and someone has said 'dunno - sometime this year is all I know' so they've put a release date of the last day of the year on it to cover themselves, and that has caused an automatic email to be generated to all pre-order customers.

I mean - why would they still bother to release a physical CD of this months-old single, so long after the parent album has been and gone off the charts?

Then again... this is the Beach Boys and Capitol/EMI we're talking about, here... it's kind of like a modern, Internet-age version of releasing the summery 'It's OK' in the Autumn of 1976, just as the leaves are starting to drop off the trees...!

BMI also lists him on "Your Imagination," but the liner notes on the album didn't.

Have I missed something, or was the single not expected to chart on the Billboard Hot 100? What happened there or is it possibly going to show up there at another time?
