Thought I'd give the board a preview of the track that's holding up my "Zoo" project.... the title track, which is about 66% done at the moment.

I'm trying to scour free sound effect websites for animal sounds I feel best fit each part of the song - and if I can get those animal sounds in synch with the rhythm, that's a definite plus.  But as you can tell, there are still a lot of effect-free gaps I should fill.

And if you're wondering which version of "Pet Sounds" I'm 'defacing'.... it's the boxed-set rough mix, OOPSed to strip it down even further. :-)  The reverb-y remnants of percussion sound quite jungle-esque.

haha, this sounds pretty cool. I especially like the elephant (?) right when the horns come in.

Yeah, that's an elephant.

I'd like to have the song end in a stampede or something.... but that seems a bit too "Good Morning" and not original.

I like it, well done! But I'm telling you man, try boosting up some of those frequencies on the EQ. You'd get a richer, thicker sound that way (I've noticed that your mixes are a somewhat deficient on certain frequencies, which may be an artifact of compressors or other tools you're using). If you did that, you'd have some really kick ass mixes here. You have to believe me!
