Hey guys, I just wanted to see if any of you Beach Boys fans on the Smiley Smile Board are in the Boston area!  The reason I ask is because tomorrow night at the Good Life Bar I will be DJing a Beach Boys Party!  Here's the video preview -

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xqrgzs_beach-boys-party-w-dj-will-c-06-13-12_music

It's going to be pretty crazy... tracks in my set list right now include special mixes of The Night Was So Young, I'd Love Just Once To See You, Aren't You Glad, Darlin', Add Some Music To Your Day, Feel Flows, Rio Grande, Slip On Through, Mount Vernon and Fairway, Let's Go Away For Awhile, Had To Phone Ya, Til I Die, Sweet Mountain, Walk On By, Can't Wait Too Long, Good Vibrations, Don't Go Near The Water, Be With Me, Johnny Carson, Airplane, Roller Skating Child, Long Promised Road, Let Her Run Wild, All Dressed Up For School, I Just Got My Pay, Break Away, Wild Honey, Wind Chimes, Cabinessence, Surf's Up, I Just Wasn't Made For These Times, and a whole lot more!

So while most of the crowd will be consistently requesting Kokomo, this is what they'll actually be hearing most of the night!  Haha!  It only seemed right to make a post about it on here, because if there's any of you in the area, it may be a night you appreciate.  While I spin a variety of classic Beach Boys music, there will be tons of prizes and giveaways, and some excellent archival footage of the Boys playing on all the screens downstairs.

And in case any of you missed it, I put together a project a bit earlier this year called Adieu Or Die that contains a variety of reinterpretations of some of my favorite Beach Boys gems.  Might be up some of your alleys, and understandably not other's cup of tea.

If you're at all intrigued, feel free to check it out here!  (Just scroll down a bit on the home page to see the video preview and audio link) -

The Good Life Bar is located at 28 Kingston Street, Boston, MA 02111.  If you can make it out, I'd love to see you there!  Next up, seeing the Beach Boys in Maine and Boston!

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Hey meltedwhiskeyinmyhand, I wasn't planning on taping it but I will see what I can do!  Sometimes the music is so loud that the audio seems to come out distorted on my camera, but maybe I can pull something off!

And Rocker, thanks for the best wishes for tomorrow night!  Hope we get a good turn out!

Sounds like the SMiLE SESSIONS release party we had at some place in Cologne last year.  Cool

I'd love to be there if I had someone to go with me to a mid-week Beach Boys DJ gig a few hours away (real bunch of friends I've got, sheesh!).
Anybody in the Connecticut area, perchance, that wants to head to this?

Great preview video, looks like good fun. I'd definitely be there if I didn't live 3000 miles away.

Great tune Mr. Lovechild, thanks for posting this!  Enjoying it now!

As for the party last night, I had a great time.  Was hoping for a better turn out, but that didn't stop me from dropping Roller Skating Child LOUD on an unsuspecting crowd.
