I just found a vintage copy of Disc Magazine from 1966, and in it is an interesting story about a missing Beach Boys tape. I didn't actually see or read the article itself. I found it online and could only zoom in on certain sections. I happened to find a small paragraph or two on a missing beach Boys tape. Apparently the master tape of Good Vibrations had been "mislaid", and nobody could find it. It talks about how the song was already scheduled for release as their upcoming single. It seems as though somebody on behalf of the group was going to the media to help track it down. Something about this story seems a little hard to believe.  Grin Is any of this true? Does anybody know the details on how it got lost, how it was found again, etc?

I don't really have more details, but I think some people feel it was "borrowed" by a rival...possibly to in relation to "My World Fell Down."

"Some people" would be entirely wrong, then.
