So...is this really supposed to be the song "Barbara"? Because you sure can't sing the words/melody over that scratchy little demo. I'm wondering if it was labeled as such on the demo record itself, or perhaps just got called "Barbara" because it sounded vaguely similar to the vocal version.

Yes, they both have that reverent, Beethoven-y quality, but so do lots of Dennis compositions.

I love both tracks. I just wonder what the story is on the instrumental one.

Thanks for any enlightenment on this, and sorry if I somehow missed an earlier discussion on it.

Does this mean I have to buy somebody's book? (Just joking.)

Yes, Bookbara. (Just joking.)

I have been dubbed Mr. Pet Sounds and Mr. Country Love by polite and honored board member Smile Brian. I hope I live up to those esteemed titles.

I've never really been able to hear Barbara in this piano demo either.

You can sing both "Barbara" and "Cuddle Up" to it. Someone should do a segue.

Maybe for the first chord or so...but that could be said about any other song that starts with a major chord.

Nobody knows the story behind this? Really?
