Alternative album covers

First off, were there any "official" alternative album covers in the BB and/or solo that were almost (such as the SMiLE cover) in production? Of course you could list numerous re-releases, but I'm wanting more of the first release....only exceptions I can think of would be SIP (US cover & Euro cover), both gag worthy....and the Live in London 69 album the original release and the one from 76 (one with news clippings and letter to Brian and the other with the guys performing and a 1/3 of the Pet Sounds cover revealing.) I also wanna say there's an alternate cover to the Christmas album with the guys in blue suits holding presents.
This also brings to mind, was there an album cover made up for Add Some Music when it was to be the first album for Warners? Did Surf's Up have a different cover before? What about Wild Honey, since it had such a different line up...speaking of WH, I remember seeing a Smiley cover but with Wild Honey/Beach Boys in red and Smiley font, was that a single cover? I'll be the "Group Therapy" album cover (aka 15 Big Ones) woulda be great, they're all acting like the beginning of the TM Song (arguing/fighting/Carl's yelling "you keep out of it!"/Dennis has Mike in a headlock). Did Adult Child ever have a cover made? Or when they were making the second Christmas album (before MIU, was there a cover for it? or a cover for when it was called Winds of Change or California Feeling? I saw an album cover for "New Album" on here:
http://www.pipeline-operaglass.moonfruit.com/#/love-you/4519722026
is this for real? And did anyone else think the BB85 album cover and subsequent single covers seem cheap?

BTW, I'd love to see different creations for any alternate covers....or different ideas for Landlocked, Adult Child, a more relevant So Tough or 15 Big Ones.

I can't find a scan on the web, but in Preiss' book, there was a cool piece of art that was like an alternate cover for Party.
Love that storybook Pet Sounds cover above!
I think that every album should come with a booklet of alternate cover designs--so you can pick your favorite, fold to that page, and slide it in your jewel box...

I was really hoping to see some for: 20/20, So Tough, TODAY!, MIU, BB85, Still Cruisin', 15 Big Ones...
I do recall someone re-doing the LA cover, it was quite interesting because I believe they made their own postcards for Lookin Down the Coast and California Feeling.
Isn't there any alternate album cover for Summer Days that has Bruce?

There are alternate photos from the same shoot.
Also, would anyone else enjoy seeing Bruce shooped into covers if the catalogue is indeed remastered and all that? He really deserves it. Mayhaps do so on the insidey part of the booklet so folks can flip it around to their desired cover. I mean damn, Bruce deserves to be on these covers. I MEAN. COME OOAWn.

Somewhere...maybe on the Smile Shop board?...there was a weird alternate cover for Pet Sounds in the 70s. I think it was some kind of pasteup from Capitol that never got used. It looked like the regular Pet Sounds cover, but with hairy bearded 70s pix of the guys pasted over the original photo.

I've heard he
was
on the original cover, crouching between Carl and Mike. Capitol were about to print, when someone noticed a gonad. Capitol pulled the cover and replaced it with the testicle free one we know and love.
The boys at Capitol had it written into the BB's contract, that Bruce must
never
wear shorts again, which he grudgingly agreed to. At first, it seemed OK, but then the rumours started. Someone had met someone who had noticed a familiar cheeky smile and not much else at the Whisky in late'65. Then there was the infamous "slippage" incident in '66, when John and Paul copped an eyeful during a Pet Sounds listening party in London.
All this got back to Capitol, who went into litigation in '67, culminating in the non release of SMiLE. When the boys finally left Capitol in '69, Bruce vowed never to wear
anything
other than the shortest shorts ever again.
You heard it here first.

Perhaps if you carefully peel off the nad-free cover, you'll find a Beach-nut surprise underneath. (Worth a lot of $$$!)
Oh, those Capitol paste-overs!

Going by the position of Bruce and the look on Carl's face, I think I see why this wasn't used

There was at least one cover made for ASM, but if I remember, it's almost exactly Sunflower.
Wild Honey probably did , as it was originally scheduled for Brother. PR probably has the artwork.
The Wild Honey/Smiley you reference is a Venezuelan LP known to collectors as "Wild Smile".
The "New Album" cover is a Boot
Not sure where you're going with the second Xmas LP running it into MIU/WOC/CF, as it wasn't all/any of them
