Thinking about the big tour visiting Gothenburg this summer. It might be an opportunity to get some old fans on stage. Does anybody know of a way to pop ideas to BB tour management?
I am new to this board, but I used to follow the Mike Wheeler BB page and its descendant. I hope you will enjoy some examples ABBA appreciation of BB music.
A version of Thank you for the music was played during ABBA Australian tour in-77. I do not think this version was officially released. Part of the lyrics go:
"Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk
She says I began to sing long before I could talk
And now I'm so grateful to all of the guys
Who bring the sweet memories into our lives
I mean Brian, Chuck, John and Paul"
Youtube, limited quality:

It is one of many proofs of ABBA appreciation of BW/BB. I have recently started listening more to their music. Benny Andersson still lives in
Sweden and he performs on stage now and then. He arranged and produced
Wouldn't it be nice in Swedish
with Annifrid Lyngstad on her solo album "Frida Ensam". Those of you who haven't heard it might enjoy it.

For the flip side of the first Benny Andersson-penned chart topper "Sunny Girl", his band the Hep Stars chose

The other one still living in Sweden is the dramatic singer songwriter of the band, who was mainly reduced to being a singer during the ABBA heyday. But I think she has maybe 50 % more charting songs to her name in Sweden than Abba has.
Agnetha Fältskog listed Beach Boys
among her major influences in the notes for her latest album, 2004. She has not performed on stage for a long time. But I guess she could work miracles to songs like Sail on sailor, Forever or Angel come home, as well as many of the dramatic DW songs.
You might enjoy this
fan recording (affects quality)
of the unreleased selfpenned "I'm still alive". It was included as her solo performance in the ABBA -79 tour that included some stops in North America.

Getting Benny on stage with BB would create quite some interest at least in Europe. Getting Agnetha on stage would be a sensation on a global level that would increase the interest in BW/BB music that we all share.
Where would you suggest one could offer this idea for consideration by tour management?

Welcome, and thanks for the links. To me, Abba always wore their influences on their sleeves, and made some truly great pop music.
