In the Endless Harmony doc, they talk about having a party. Carl said "I don't know how they knew to come but there was a lot of people". Legend had it that it was on Labor Day weekend, but I think it had been discussed here that it was not accurate. It didn't say anything about it on the AGD Bellagio website (at least on Labor Day 1961).

My question is, was anyone on this board at this party? If so, please share memories!

I was there... but I'm holding back what actually happened for my multi-volume definitive history of The Beach Boys. It was a trip, for sure.

In the style of Peter Guralnick's works? I'd buy that, whatever the price.  Cool

Am I sensing a bit of sarcasm? Aren't you from England? Of course knowing you, I bet you were there for Brian's birth. Or maybe conception.  LOL

Andrew was there for sure - still has the unopened party bag and a slice of cake wrapped in music notation paper with the original melody for In My Room... ;d
