What I'm loving about this thread is that there's so much positivity Phil's not even showing his face. It's like garlic around the door!

Whatever Carl's ons were doing there, I hope the boys - meaning the Beach Boys - got around to make and record music

a diseased bunch of motherblueboarders if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

"It was sort of a pleasant surprise to see that we can all still sing," - Brian Wilson 2012

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue
to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The
Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Posted on Brian's Facebook earlier tonight:

"Brian and Al at the board."

Al: “Cool it, Brian, Hey, can I make a record?  Listen to this, it’s song I’ve written based on Kingston Trio, Leadbelly and a Henry Miller short story once read a-loud by John Steinbeck.

Brian: “Have I mentioned before, I f*ckin’ hate folk music”

I agree, it’s not a packet of smokes in Brian's hand (otherwise it would have been inked out ala the Love You inner cover) -  it’s probably Brian’s personal taser, should Mike enter the booth.

Brian's got money therefore there are two armed guards each roughly 6'5", 280 lbs,  and ripped to sh*t standin' by the studio door  waitin' there just for Myke to show his ugly face in the place. They don't need their weapons either. Razz

No Joe Thomas to be seen.
Can we count his reported involvement as an unfounded rumor now?

Given that Brian explicitly said that he was working with Joe, I think not.

Aye, but BW's been in denial/lie/fender mode about the whole reunion…  Take everything he says with a pinch of sea salt.

Not doing their job too well, are they ?

Got a question ? Try Bellagio 10452 first - if the answer's not there, then ask me.

What it was isn't what you thought it is, because it is what it is, because you claim so, because you confirm it, because you insist that it is what it is. And therefore, it ain't what it ain't.

And in the top left corner we have a screen showing what looks like Cubase, with 6 tracks visible.

Love to know what it is.

You'd at least expect Sylvie Simmons to know there was no Maureen Wilson... she's on the Nashville Stars n Stripes DVD for foda's sake
