Would it not be groovy if they re-recorded this lost Friends gem as a closer for the new album. Few times before has it been more relevant, plus it was sung mainly by Denny and Brian. I guess it was more relevant in 1976, but w/e, what are the forums thoughts?

actualy since it is technically an "unreleased" song that was never released on an album I think it would be a decent song for them to re-record..

I don't think it's that good of a song. The original version is nice to listen to but that's all. Write new songs and record them.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

hmm ... it was released on the Friends/20-20 twofer as well as 'Classics' ... not really unreleased.

Yeah personally I'm not that hip on it either.  Never really did much for me.

I love the song! Great to hear Brian's falsetto. I think with a little more finish, it could've made a great single for the guys at the time. I wonder if Brian felt that way, since the mix on the Friends/20/20 twofer is in mono, unlike all the album tracks. It's also interesting that Brian selected it for the Classics collection. Obviously the song means something to him.

Yeah, let's just re-record inferior versions of old songs.  Great idea.   Roll Eyes

No. New songs only please. Preferably with no references at all to older songs.
