Everybody has their own favorites, I guess. What's most staggering is the quality of the list from top-to-bottom. I can't get over how much great material this band has and the stuff that ended up at #101-150 is pretty damn great as well.

I hope the top 10 isn't like Good Vibrations, I Get Around, California Girls, Surfer Girl, Wouldn't It Be Nice, God Only Knows, etc. But I'm sure it will be.
and all the interested parties reading this board will be like, "Ah, you see! This confirms our decision to have really boring setlists! Even the diehards like those songs the best!"

Um, so tell me, what Beach Boys songs are better than "God Only Knows" or "Good Vibrations"?
I think on the whole that this list gives such high praise to Pet Sounds (every song from that album is on this list, perhaps no big surprise since the outtake, 'Hang On To Your Ego', cracked the Top 100...) and Smile along with their later career that it definitely shows a much different side than what the casual audience seems to think.
Now, if we get to the top ten and "Surfin' U.S.A." and "Barbara Ann" appear there....then I'll be inclined to agree with you. We'll just have to wait and see.

Here's the schedule:
This afternoon (after I eat lunch): #69-51
Monday Evening: #50-36 Tuesday Evening: #35-26 Wednesday Evening: #25-16 Thursday Evening: #15-6 + #101-150 Friday Afternoon: #5-1 + scores for everything that didn't make the Top 150
I'd like to post on the weekend, but never have the time. If I miss any update days next week, I'll simply make up for it the following day. The winner will be known next Friday.

Also, if anybody guesses the three songs that finished in 1st-2nd-3rd (in the correct order), they can see the rest of the list immediately via PM!
Place your bets, folks!

Thanks! You just convinced me to finally download and install Spotify! Cool to see the entire top 100...and it's intriguing that the top 20 or so is not much different than it was in the 90's when the Cabinessence site's track ranking function was still working! Playing the playlist now, so cool to hear these songs all together!

Boring for the most part. I'm happy "Surf's Up" is so high.

Still I Dream Of It better than Here Comes The Night, Celebrate The News and It's About Time? I know it's all a matter of individual taste - but no, no, no, no, NO!

Hey KokoNO i'm loving this thread and the Spotify playlist you created is really great. How would you feel about making another one but the top 150 songs? I dunno if Spotify allows you to do playlists that big but that would be the best thing ever! Thanks again!

Having "I went to sleep" at 83 is a joke. That is one of Brian's best songs.

Add Some Music To Your Day isn't even in the top 5 best tracks on Sunflower, never mind one of their 100 greatest. (Again, individual taste etc. But I'm right.)

Well, five songs from Sunflower DID finish ahead of it on our list. Also, given the unlikelihood of the later albums to even get a single track in our Top 100 (and the early albums to get too many either), most of the middle period albums should be getting what we're seeing which is around a half dozen tracks from each (and more from the titans like Smile and Pet Sounds).
