I apologize if this has been covered.  I have always liked her music (I was listening to "Over and Over" and "Think About Me" from Tusk).  Are any of her songs known to have been about/inspired by Denny?

"Only Over You" from the "Mirage" album had a side note which read, "With special thanks for inspiration to Dennis Wilson".

Sort of relevant. Lindsey Buckingham wrote DW Suite as a tribute to Dennis on his Go Insane album

In case someone else hasn't noticed, I believe there's a tiny picture of Christine & Dennis holding a baby in the "Tusk" inner sleeve artwork.  "Tusk" - killer album!  Sounds as good now as it did on release back in '79.

"You & I", "Thoughts Of You" and "Time" are about Karen... and she & Shawn excepted, I think you'll find the vast majority of his past loves are still with us. That's an astonishing claim.

Y'know, I've always felt that Christine's songs on the 1987 Mac album "Tango In The Night" are all about Dennis...listen to them in order of appearance, and you'll see what I mean:  they can pretty much be heard as a history of the intense yet ultimately failed relationship.  "Everywhere" is the rush of excitement when the relationship is new, "Mystified" is when she's in so deep she's almost in a trance but very much OK with that, "Little Lies" is when she know she's being played & struggling with the hurt but she's willing to go along with it for the time being 'cause she's not ready to let go, and "Isn't It Midnight" is from a perspective of some distance, once it's over and she HAS let go, and she's thinking back on it.

Mmm...I'd take a guess that Christine's songs from that era were more than likely written for her then-husband Eddie Quintela (they divorced around 2004). However, as the voice of the person writing the song is not always the voice of the person singing the song, they could be drawing on some past emotions for their subject matter.

I was a FM fan from way back in the Kirwin/Welch days but I had never heard the later day live album  (theDance?) until a friend gave me a copy recently.  What a treat to hear the stuff from the later era live!

As for Christine, she wrote a number of relationship oriented songs over the years, no doubt inspired or sparked by her own experiences.   It seems she had a knack for taking up with charming alcoholics.  Liked the bad boys.

You know, I agree, and also have reason to believe you're absolutely right!  I mean, you've already nailed the logic behind it, especially with "Little Lies"...  also "Isn't It Midnight".  I will never forget sitting at her piano with her, late at night when Dennis had 'slipped off somewhere'.  She started playing "You Make Loving Fun", and I told her I was sure I had nailed her inspiration for that one, when she set me straight, and told me that she only got inspired from relationships in retrospect, after the relationship was over!  First time I heard  "Tango In The Night", I could just feel Dennis and that time with them...

That actually makes sense to a musician..They right about there loves + release so much..BUT..When the magic dispersers + they break up the pain comes out,,And no release of love connects with an audience tha t.. Means more than the pain of break up..And the audience that likes the band eats it up..Its funny how when every thing is cool,,Its OK.. THe pain of the break up connects more...WHY...WHY...HuhHuhHuhHuh??... Thats why we call it the blues..!!...People connect in song MORE with the break up than they do with the GOOD TIMES...WHY..??...Cause people look for songs to connect to in pain than good times..When things are good people UNDERSTAND..And GROOVE with it..BUT.. When pain shows it self.. WE ..ALL regroup.. And CONNECT.. Unfortunate.. we UNDERSTAND better THAN GOOD TIMES.. tHIS IS IMHO.....Good times we CRUISE ENJOY..Bad times we hope for a better future And regroup..And work for a better future....Its kinda ODD ..BUT...I reflect on personal experience at 59...AND..If ya dont believe me go explore blues + Jazz.. The best songs are about lost love .. It will ALLWAYS be that way..WHY..Cause someone you DEARLY love.. SCrewed you + slipped thru your fingers..Those will allways be the best songs..IMHO... Paul Jedi Duel Head Spin Ahhh!

Just to add a postcript to this - "You Make Loving Fun" was apparently inspired by Christine's affair with Curry Grant, Fleetwood Mac's lighting guy who she started seeing on tour when not-quite divorced from John McVie.

Genuine piece of non-snarky advice, Paul. One full stop (or the occasional comma) is sufficient. Something like this:

"WELL You must be talkin about DW, 'cause it wasn't me. LOL.!  Im sorry for my limited computer skills. I've seen some recent comments that imply im on drugs or booze.
