That's cool how Mother Teresa jumps in to adjust the mic in that second picture! God Only Knows, indeed.

That's Hill Auditorium, located right in the middle of campus - still a very nice place to see concerts.

Would have been awesome if Brian performed the whole show with them in Michigan.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I love Brian, but those trousers did nothing for him.

Did Brian perform any complete shows with the band in 1966?

I don't think so unfortunately, a live pet sounds performance with him should have happened.

Interesting. So he did full shows in 61-65. Johnny B Goode @ Michigan in 66. Hawaii 67.

Didn't someone once say he popped up at a gig in '68 ?

These have been on Getty Images too, I've posted some of them in the past year in other threads. I hope to see more of the series, or anything from the October '66 Michigan shows. If anyone has more, let me know! Of course no one will, but I'm used to that by now. Smiley

Here are the Getty shots brightened up a bit so you can better see the bespectacled Mike Love, his "woo woo machine", and the backline of Fender amps:

Here's an interior shot of Hill Auditorium where they played:

And, of course, on the flight home from Michigan Brian requested everyone gather at the airport for these photos:
