ok,just for fun how would you do a duets cd if capitol asked you to compile it for mainstream release? here's how I would do it (with only highlights from Stars and Stripes not the whole cd)

1.East meets west (with the four seasons)
2.surfin' (Jan and dean)
3.okie from muskogee"(unreleased-grateful dead)
4.don't worry baby (righteous Brothers)
5.warmth of the sun (willie Nelson)
6.caroline no (Timothy B Schmit)
7.wipe out (fat boys)
8.an unreleased live Beachago song (not sure what songs we can choose from maybe "wishing you were here")
9.monkeys uncle (annette)
10.sail on sailor (unreleased stars and stripes recording)
11.The one you can't have (The honeys)
12.surfin safari (jan and dean)
13.forever (john Stamos)
14.happy endings (little richard)
bonus tracks
15.guess I'm dumb (glen campbell)
16.back in the ussr (unreleased with Ringo Starr)

this way we get some unreleased and rare stuff..

Great idea! If somebody could master it properly, sequence it in some way that makes sense, and give it a budget price, I'd buy it.

I think you meant Everly Brothers, not the Righteous Brothers. Not sure if Jan & Dean, The Honeys and Glen Campbell should count as these are not duets with the Beach Boys, also you missed out Fun, Fun, Fun - Status Quo with The Beach Boys and Back In The U.S.S.R. with Ringo was released on Fourth Of July - A Rockin' Celebration Of America LP.

No offense, but I could think of quite a few more interesting archival releases. But as a budget/gas station release... Why not.

opps I meant everly..lol..that's why I put "Guess I'm dumb" as a bonus rack..I wasn't sure if the BB's did harmonies on the Honeys song.yes thank you for reminding me of Status quo,,that would be on there as well..didn't The beach boys suing background on those jan and dean songs?
