some band from 1976 covered Wild Honey. it's terrible.

it does seem like they recorded it modularly though which is pretty cool.

Yikes this is terrible, give me the original any day over this.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Lol, are you being ironic? 'some band from the 70's'. It's Nazareth dude.
And I was expecting A LOT worse.

It's actually quite funny.

I'm wondering if the Wishbone Ash rendition of "Anna Lee The Healer" is going to surface anytime soon.

The video made it a little easier to get through, but I can't say that cover was any good.

If you listen to any "classic rock" radio, you've probably heard Nazareth's "Hair of the Dog" ("now you messin' with a son-of-a-bitch!").

When I think Nazareth, I think Hair of the Dog.

And jeez, Nazareth AND Wishbone Ash in the same forum thread? I'm feeling some big 70's hard rock vibes here!

Someone just gave some Wishbone Ash on a disc.  It included nothing by the beachboys.    And interestingly enough, nothing by Nazareth OR Wishbone Ash.  Go figure.   Razz

Nazareth doing "Love Hurts" is a godd cover, and it sounds great in the movie "Dazed And Confused". I like the duet version done by Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris too. Beautiful vocals on that version.

Andy did it better I think.

I know lounge singing may not be to everyone's tastes, but the slow treatment here really highlights the beauty  of these chord changes

Except they're playing completely different chords from the original.

Edit: that was just the piano.
