Hey there,

Wondering if anyone knows the story or connection between Sagittarius's 'My World Fell Down' and the Heroes & Villains sessions. The middle break (carnival and bullfight sounds) in  'My World Fell Down' sounds like something right out of H&V and I remember reading somewhere awhile ago that there were suspicions that it was actually swiped from the H&V sessions. Anyone know anything about this.

thanks.

Yes - complete nonsense. There's a track sheet for the middle-eight, and they're all from SFX albums.

Great thanks for setting the record straight

Wow - never saw a Heroes and Villains connection, but the song has a very similar structure to Good Vibrations (except for the middle break SFX).  Didn't this song contribute to Brian's fear that people were stealing his ideas by listening to session tapes at the studios he was using.  The SFX on My World Fell Down remind me of the bridge of Wonderful from Smiley Smile (in feel anyway).

I'm pretty sure the liner notes of the CD mention the H&V rumor or say something like "sounds like it could be from the cutting room floor".

Yeah, they do. Doesn't make it any less nonsensical, though.  Smiley

It IS very similar in style/structure, but I doubt there's anything sinister about that...fantastic record in it's own right!
