All fine and good but do we REALLY need one more guy sitting there calling the Beach Boys "just singers" and "not geniuses" like Brian?

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I very much wanted to punch that guy in the dick. Who th'f*ck was that? Hey now! any punching in the dick is reserved for the inevitable OSD/Myke face off!!! But seriously: anyone who gives the world POB/Bambu should be considered a genius for my money.

Sigh... sounds to me like he's not familiar with the Dennis Wilson canon.

Sigh... sounds to me like he's not familiar with the Dennis Wilson canon. Sounds to me like he was speaking about The Beach Boys circa 1967 - at which time you can't argue that the others really weren't "just singers".

Man, Surf's Up sounds sooooooo good. I love the sound of that piano. Brings back a lot of good memories of first listening to Wild Honey.

You'll find it on iTunes. Child and Prayer sound absolutely incredible. Goosebumps... Couldn't listen to Surf's Up though. I'm saving that one

God that WH Surf's Up appears to be one of the best songs I've ever heard and I'll ever hear, what a sound, it feels even closer as if we were in the studio booth...truly truly beautiful.

I can't wait to listen to this interview! It also seems that the release of TSS is worth the wait!
