Remember a few months ago, when Catbirdman made a Smile Game of Speculation?
For those who don't, here it is: http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,10255.0.html
I guess it's the time to check it and see the results...

1.   Acetate/mix from May 11 session for Heroes and Villains - No Sad
2.   Previously unheard sections from Good Vibrations - Yes (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not that familiar with GV sessions)
3.   Wind Chimes mix referred to by Michael Vosse No
4.   Vocals for Look/I Ran (Oct 13) No
5.   Wonderful with lead vocal and yodeling bvs Yes
6.   Cabin Essence previously unheard instrumental section No
7.   Cabin Essence “reconnected telephone” vocals No
8.   Child Is Father Of The Man previously unheard vocals (leads and/or bvs) Yes! Smiley
9.   Child Is Father Of The Man previously unknown lyrics (could be audio, could be just documented lyrics) No (unless there is some surprise in the booklet, which would have probably been known by now)
10.   I’m In Great Shape vocals - I'll take it as No as the meaning probably was new vocals
11.   Significant clues/documentation into the overall structure of I’m In Great Shape No
12.   Vintage lead vocal for Do You Like Worms No
13.   An altogether different recording under the title Do You Like Worms No
14.   Any previously unheard spoken recordings/skits No
15.   Vintage lead vocal for Barnyard No
16.   Acetate/mix from fall 1966 version of Heroes and Villains No
17.   Previously unheard instrumental section from Surf’s Up No
18.   The Nov 29 recording “Jazz” Yes
19.   Previously unheard piece pertaining to the Elements - probably No, assuming that this new Dada wasn't a part of the Elements.
20.   Significant new clues/documentation into what comprised the air element (for bonus point, speculate on specifics of what that element turns out to be) No
21.   Significant new clues/documentation into what comprised the earth element (for bonus point, speculate on specifics of what that element turns out to be) No
22.   Significant new clues/documentation into what comprised the water element (for bonus point, speculate on specifics of what that element turns out to be)No
23.   Vocal parts for Old Master Painter and/or You Are My Sunshine Yes
24.   Excerpts from “Ball and Mitt” (Dec 15) No
25.   Previously unheard section(s) from Heroes and Villains (for bonus points, speculate on specific sections) Yes (I think that "pickup for 3rd verse wasn't booted, correct me if I'm wrong)
26.   Acetate/mix from 1967 version of Heroes and Villains Yes ("Cantina", and vintage section mixes on "Early Version Outtakes")
27.   Dennis Wilson’s “I Don’t Know” Yes
28.   Jasper Dailey recording(s)  Yes  Grin
29.   Previously unheard material from Carl’s “Tones” No
30.   Previously unheard material from the April Vega-Tables sessions Yes (No new sections but new session material)

You can make your corrections if you have any, and then I'll count the scores and announce the happy winners of the game  Grin

17.   Previously unheard instrumental section from Surf’s Up No

I think you could have that, arguing that the 67 is entirely new, instr and vox.  No-one could have seen that coming…

You could argue that, but surely Catbirdman didn't have it in mind when he wrote the list Smiley I'll take it as "Previously unheard instrumental section from Surf’s Up meant for the original Smile recording, i.e part 2 or tag", unless someone objects...

5.   Wonderful with lead vocal and yodeling bvs Yes

[ANAL]
Change that to a "no." Despite the background vocals, by definition, there's no yodeling; simply singing the syllables "yo-de-lay-dee-hoo" doesn't constitute yodeling.

Think I remember someone here saying it was on the "I wanna be Around" session.
