Pleasure , I really didn't know it existed until a certain Drummer in Brians Band told me about it a couple of weeks ago in London , and then at a sing-song in some pub after-show a mate of mine from my neck of the woods ( Kev Melia ) was wearing one ( he got it from his daughter for his 85th birthday  ) , so i had to get one , but rather pricey to say the least .

Phew, my two Brother logo T-shirts just arrived from the US for roughly the same price inc postage as the one Topman shirt from here in the UK, sans postage. Some great shirts at Topman but their prices are daft. Fashionably so…

Only reason I'd get a "Rhonda" shirt is if my wife or girlfriend's name is Rhonda. Yeah, Brian wore it for a couple of years around '76-'77 but when I look at it I say, "Huh?". Where's the humor? What's the point? I love the song, but I don't get it. Why not "I Get Around" or "I Can Hear Music" or..........."Surf's Up"?

Meanwhile, about these new shirts with the Brother logo. They run small. I got the 2XL because I know it'll shrink. Compared to most sizes, it's actually a Large or at the most XL.  It fits me perfectly right now, but after a few washings, I guaranteed it won't! So I'm thinking that I just won't wash it - I'll just smell bad. Who cares.

Thanks for that. I opted for 2XL as well and they look huge – my girlfriend was trés bemused – but that info makes things a little brighter. On the downside, I find that I'm getting larger at the same rate my clothes shrink. Who'd'a thought it?

I wish they'd offer it in XXXL.  I am 6'3" with a long torso and broad shoulders.  In theory, a XXL would work, but they always shrink and end up being to short.  I want this shirt in a bad way!

Yeah, these shirts are 100% cotton and as I say, they run small.  They'll shrink like a mofo in the wash. I'm thinking about getting another one in case this one looses its size/fit/color/logo.

I also have a Beach Boys Pendleton '63 shirt (2XL) that's 100% cotton though and it's holding up quite well. Wish I'd gotten a second one of those - if I knew where to get another one for around 20 bucks, I'd jump on it!

Loving my Pendleton shirt (Size Small because I am Al Jardine size) that is high quality and so warm to wear in the winter. Try watching Pendleton auctions on ebay because i have seen a few go for cheap.

And there's also a white Pendleton commemorative T-shirt with a picture of The Boys (Surfer Girl album cover) with the words, American Classics Pendleton Since Nineteen 63, Pendletones - The Beach Boys.  Note that it says, "Pendletones", not Pendleton! That's what The Beach Boys were called briefly. When I went to go see Jardine in Berkeley last April, he looked at my shirt and said, "You know, I loaned David Marks my Pendleton shirt for that Surfer Girl album photo shoot". Didn't think to ask Al why he wasn't in the picture........

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Al still has his Pendleton shirt. He's save a LOT of stuff, even since the early 60's. Some memorabilia is hanging on the wall at his Red Barn studio.

I've said it before. That studio would be the ideal place for a reunion.

Brian is not up for 100-110 shows, (and who would be?) but a weekend with a room full of instruments, recording equipment on, and a few family with hand held video cameras recording the event would be fine by me.

I asked about it.   It matters to me.  When I walk around in public I care about what my shirt looks like and what it says on it.
