yeah I figured it was.. Grin..there's a couple things that are wrong with the song first off the lead singer doesn't sound anything like any of them,it sounds like they are trying to sound like Mike,second the video states that they only did it in one take which doesn't make sense we all know that Brian did the instrumentations first and they didn't record live (at this point) so how could it be done in just one take? also the recording is in stereo and if they had dubbed their voices to an instrumental track we know that the music would already be mixed to mono,also the arrangement/production is so sloppy and out of time in places that it's laughable that it could come from the beach boys..I think the joke would have worked better if they did an unfinished instrumental in mono where volcals would have been with a count down,,it is funny though to think that Mike Judge could have been influenced by Smile but the joke just doesn't work here..
