now now now mumamuma now now

holiday is one of the best smile tracks. someone here said brian didn't consider it for smile after he cut it. i disagree and think he heard how perfect it was and was waiting to put vocals on it. some of you don't play your music loud enough. that track is the biggest riot on smile, it's a total party in sound. it has a sgt pepper sort of vibe - maybe that's why brian may have left it behind if he got word on pepper. but it has so much more style and grace than the pepper. the groove is amazing as always. lotta people overlook this track here, it's a shame. great lsd song. i have a feeling that if there's a high quality version of this track on the sessions then a lot of people will see how cool it is.

It`s an awesome song minus the pirate rap.

the chords on the flutes intro are great 'bw genius' evidence. slow it down and really LISTEN. brian is in the fucking ZENZONE on Holidays.

Speed it up slightly and add some reverb and you`ve got total awesome insanity!

I LOVE Holidays, how can one not? I was thinking earlier today, trying to imagine the rest of the band hearing that track for the first time when Brian plays it for them, what the hell that must have been like for them, and i could imagine that if anyone within the group had a problem with the music, rather than assuming what we always have, that they were opposed to it being "too weird," what if what they really opposed was how cartoonish some of the music was? There is nothing "cool" or rock n roll about Holiday, Barnyard, Look, Vegetables. Maybe they thought that type of sound would ruin their image. Then again, listening to Good Vibrations outtakes today, i was amazed by how much some of those sections sound like Sesame Street. I know Sesame Street came out afterwards and that i should be saying that Sesame Street sounds like Good Vibrations, but it doesn't. Good Vibrations sounds like Sesame Street.

All I know is I can't afford to go on one.

What's wrong with Sesame Street? That was a good show for a while.

Don't need to slow it down. I can hear the chords. He was listening to some Bach whilst doing SMiLE. You can hear this in Prayer and Holidays and Wonderful
