Speed Turtle is far worse to me, personally.  BHotR at least has a 'so dumb its funny' kinda vibe to it.

"Speed turtle" has a strange tempo..it's kind of too slow and drags on too long..the same thing with "desert Drive" from GIOMH... it's almost like when Brian does a "surfing/car" song with the sound of the early beach boys he doesn't put too much effort into it...or he sounds bored with it..it's almost like he knows he HAS to have that early BB sound once in a while to please fans but he would rather do the more complex music of pet sounds,TLOS etc..

"Speed Turtle" was recorded for a children's book. It was written by the author of the book, who I believe also produced the track. It has never been released on a commercially available standalone CD, as a single, or as anything else remotely important.

Brian had nothing to do with it except for singing the vocals. And yes, they're dreadful. But don't blame the poor man for the song.

I don't blame Brian for the song but it's just weird that he would agree to it as it is so amazingly awful.

"Be True To Your Bud" should have been about weed but, well, the Lovester would have disapproved of course!
