So I made a quick, poor-quality video of me playing a few riffs from Don Randi's legendary performance, heretofore buried in the mix, and hard to hear during the various takes as well.  Sound accurate to you?

A+
I love love love that part of the song. For the longest time I never heard it, that chorus is one of the most amazing things Brian ever recorded. One of the best backing tracks with one of the best harmonies.

I don't think its that buried. I took out the SOT's yesterday to listen to the 12 string on GoK, then I headed on over to listen to IJWMFTT and was able to hear it pretty clear in a few takes.

Anyway, nice playing on the job! So weird to know that this is in a song like IJWMFTT.

That sounds very good and very close to the original! As mentioned in the other discussion, I don't know why Brian chose to bury that part in the final mix, it's too good to hide.

So when do you plan to convert that into a tack piano? Grin

Specacular! I'm a huge note-for-note cover buff, and this is about as spot-on as it can get. What a funky little riff to be buried beneath a sea of vocals.

Very nice to see thanks for posting.

Out of interest - is this part performed when Brian's band have played the song live? (Probably not I guess).
