I've been meaning to talk about this topic for a some time now. A few months ago I ended up with quite a few recordings of The Beach Boys on their 1972 tour, and many of the shows featured Dennis's unreleased "I've Got A Friend". After listening to the various versions several times, I suddenly realised that "I've Got A Friend" and "Holy Man" sound very similar. At least to me they do. Listen to this version, for example. Especially starting around the 3:54 mark and continuing to the end of the song. http://www.youtube.com/user/1backoffice#p/u/33/n0RuQLN-Z2c

So, what do you guys think? Did "I've Got A Friend" evolve into "Holy Man"? Or is it just a passing coincidence?

Dennis recorded a full track for "IGAF" (sadly, no vocals) and it's killer early 70s DW... and nothing at all like "Holy Man".

I was thinking I've got a Friend became Barbara, or Cuddle Up...or did Barbara become I've got a Friend...All in all, IGAF needs to be released so we're not all confused!
