"I synced up the two available performances of Brian Wilson singing "Don't Worry Baby" live in 1981 with The Beach Boys. The two performances are from July 4th 1981 (Washington DC), and July 5th 1981 (Long Beach, CA). As you can hear, Brian Wilson's voice was completely gone at this point, never again to fully recover.
(Hint: turn balance to the right to hear the rare July 4th performance by itself)"

I feel so bad for Brian being forced to sing this song that is so totally out of his range for his gruff voice, but Brian makes up for it the last minute by adjusting his voice to sing in a different style.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST
To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.
