Sorry, I was not being clear. It refutes that claim.

How? Revealing studio chatter? Doesn't CK make a joke about 'this is what follows the fire' during the jazz improv? If anything that strengthens the claim, unless there's something else not yet revealed in the samples ....

'Xactly... she says it off the cuff after "Jazz", which is entirely different to Brian telling her what "The Woodshop" represents. In the overall scheme, very small beer, but so much for memory.

So, out of the brief sounds clips heard so far, is there anything on the box set that is totally new? Excepting I Don't Know, and the Jasper cut whose name I can't recall at the moment.

I just logged into Amazon and clicked on my orders. It said I had no orders found. In the (slightly paraphrased) immortal words of Denise Richards on her short lived tv show It's Complicated, "My heart just fell out of my ass".  Thud

Alternatively, on the "Your Orders" page, above "No orders found", click on "open orders".  Wink

I couldn't resist buying the 2CD set today while awaiting the boxset. I can't put a coherent story together about my feelings about the set, but here's some thoughts:
-the artwork couldn't have been better, they also had the 1CD version at the store and it's almost exactly a replica of the original LP cover, but with the good tracklisting. The cd's inside the 2CD version have mini LP sleeves and CD1 has an exact replica of the LP, including "see label for correct playing order".
-Brian's personal liner notes are just ****ing incredible! I couldn't believe how articulate his notes are, it sure brought tears to my eyes.
-The first thing I listened to was Surf's Up 1967 and just like previous posters have all said, it's amazing and it brought tears to my eyes.
-I'm only a couple of tracks into the CD, and man, it sure sounds great! The I'm In Great Shape fly-ins sound good to me, the Barnyard ones not so much. At 1.01 something strange happens in Cabinessence, the hiss suddenly stops in a very abrupt, bad way. Should have been fixed.
-At the end of Child Is Father Of The Man are some beautiful vocals I've never heard before

I see whee you're coming from in as much as it could refute her claim that Brian told her personally. Then again, who's to say that exchange didn't occur when the tapes weren't rolling?

It also doesn't refute the potential for IWBA to follow Fire as far as I can tell. If anything, I'd say the fact she's joking about Jazz following the Fire during the IWBA session strengthens the case for it being the follow up track.

Four and a bit days… Anyone else developing a tremble?  My stomach's tightening!

Just cancelled my amazon.com order and going with the UK order as I reckon losing out on £20 is worth it to get my mitts on it sooner.

Bring it on!

Just got an e-mail from bol.com saying that my box set is in the mail. Whenever bol.com sends that e-mail it always arrives on the same day or the day after.  Smiley

Why is a 4 and a half decade wait doable but a 4 and a half day one completely excruciating?

I'm assuming that none of you that are receiving shipments or finding the 2 cd set in the stores are in the U.S., am I right?  I am SOOOO hoping to get my box or find the 2 cd set in retail stores before Tuesday.  The anticipation is killing me!  I still haven't listened to any of the available clips.  I want to keep it a surprise.
